The Mobile Platform

So a lot of talk lately has of course been about the booming smart phone market in the tech world. To me there are 4 platforms, Windows Mobile, Blackberry OS, iPhone, and Android. With the forth coming iPhone 2.0 release and the start of 3rd party Apps I wonder how Blackberry and Windows will hold up. To me the problem with Windows Mobile is that it differs across units with no real standardization which leads to often sluggish performance. Blackberry I feel just has gotten a bit cocky, they have been the business leader and felt no one could steal that but I feel the iPhone could really make a run at the Blackberry crowd. The iPhone, I mean what is there to say, it just work and it works fluidly and with grace and the 2.0 enhancements will make it popular in the business world. Android to me is the wild card, this is a mobile platform that could really change the game in ways that even the iPhone hasnt but untill handsets roll out with it next year we wont really know. Well thats about all for this evening, be sure to follow me on twitter at http://twitter.com/chazadams
